Aluminum-mounted prints available in Missoula, Montana

I’m happy to tell you that the Opportunity Bank in downtown Missoula has graciously offered me exhibit space in their window at 200 North Higgins Avenue. So, I’m using the space in the to feature six “simply stunning” aluminum-mounted Fujiflex Crystal Archive prints.

Three are color photographs of local winter landscapes, and three are of Polar Bears which I took in Churchill on Hudson’s Bay using a medium-format camera and slide film several years ago. Unfortunately there’s room for only two of these largish photographs at any one time. So I’ll be rotating them occasionally

Printed by the superb pro lab in London The Print Space, I can offer these are at an amazingly low price of $395 due to the current difference in exchange rates between the dollar and the pound.

I also have an aluminum-mounted print of a storm approaching the Grand Tetons in Wyoming for sale at the Radius Gallery’s Christmas Show, also in downtown Missoula.

You can see all of my current inventory of aluminum-mounted prints here.

I hope you have a great holiday season. Alan.

Latest news October 2022

I’m pleased to say that my picture was accepted from among 15,000 entries for the Royal Academy of Art’s Summer Show in London. It sold on the 3rd day of the well-attended show that ran through July and August.

I’ve been having a lucky year so far, with successes on both sides of the Atlantic, as well as at home in Montana. And this week is the opening of a black-and-white exhibition featuring myself and 5 other photographers on Friday, October 7 at 115 West Main Street.

Earlier, in August, I was shortlisted and awarded "Official Selection" for New York’s International Photography Awards, for a recent picture featuring an impounded Russian super-yacht and a historic fireboat moored together at London’s Canary Wharf.

In May, I was happy to be included in Missoula’s Frame-of-Mind gallery’s Spring Show where this piece found an amused buyer.

And in February, my art piece “Riverine Landscape” sold at the Missoula Art Museum’s annual auction.

Finally, I’ve added a few more pictures to my Print Sales page, and added 21 pictures in all. Just click on Latest Additions or Print Sales in the tabs above.

New pictures of Vietnam War protest of 1970

I happened on some scans I had made of medium format photos I had taken for the student newspaper at The City University on 9th May 1970. This was a large march protesting the student killings at Kent State University, Ohio, and the Vietnam War in general. A prominent protestor was the actress Vanessa Redgrave, of whom I got a couple of good images along with close-ups of altercations between students and horse-mounted police. So, I’ve posted 12 of these pictures to my website here.
